Frank Schnelle, Executive Director at The Association of European Vehicle Logistics (ECG)

Frank Schnelle has led ECG as executive director since the end of 2024, where he works on behalf of a diverse group of vehicle logistics providers across Europe to advance the interest of the sector.

With over 30 years of comprehensive experience in finished vehicle logistics across all transport modes, Schnelle began his career at EH Harms, a pioneer in the finished vehicle logistics sector based in Bremen, Germany.

He went on to spend several years at Bremen-based BLG Logistics, before joining Hyundai Glovis Europe in 2009, where he was instrumental in establishing and expanding the company’s FVL operations, leading it to become a market leader through strategic asset acquisitions. His extensive industry background positions him well to lead ECG.

Schnelle has been actively involved in addressing industry challenges, such as process efficiency and the recruitment and retention of qualified staff across the finished vehicle sector. He emphasises the importance of efficient capacity utilisation and collaboration with OEMs to optimise logistics flows.

His appointment is expected to strengthen ECG’s role in supporting its members and enhancing the efficiency of vehicle logistics across Europe.
